A hearty brunch casserole combining sausage, bread, Swiss cheese, and a creamy egg mixture, perfect for family gatherings or weekend brunches.

Ingredients

  • 6 pieces bread
  • 1 lb sausage
  • 1 tsp mustard
  • 1 cup Swiss cheese
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 pint half and half

Instructions

  1. Grease an oblong 13 x 9-inch pan.
  2. Lay 6 pieces of bread on the bottom of the pan.
  3. Brown the sausage and drain off the fat.
  4. Mix mustard with the browned sausage.
  5. Spoon the sausage mixture over the bread.
  6. Sprinkle grated Swiss cheese over the sausage.
  7. Beat eggs and half and half with Worcestershire sauce, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and pepper.
  8. Pour the egg mixture over the cheese.
  9. Bake at 325°F for 30 minutes.
