  • 1/2 c. green onions
  • salt
  • pepper
  • red pepper
  • 1 tsp. Kitchen Bouquet
  • 1 1/2 c. rice
  • 2 1/2 c. water

Tips & Substitutions

For enhanced flavor, consider adding a bay leaf during cooking or substituting the smoked sausage with Andouille for a spicier kick. You can also use brown rice for a healthier option, but adjust the water and cooking time accordingly. Experiment with additional vegetables like diced tomatoes or corn to increase nutrition and taste. Remember to keep an eye on the rice to prevent overcooking.

Serving Suggestions

Serve the jambalaya hot, garnished with chopped green onions for a fresh touch. It pairs wonderfully with a side of Collard Greens And Turkey Wings or a simple green salad for a balanced meal. For a heartier option, consider serving it alongside crusty bread or cornbread to soak up the flavorful juices.

Storage & Reheating

Store leftover jambalaya in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat, add a splash of water to prevent drying out and warm it in a skillet over low heat, stirring occasionally, until heated through. Alternatively, you can microwave it in short intervals, stirring in between until hot.
