Ingredients

  • 2 lb. fresh small green beans
  • 2 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen beans
  • 2 c. chicken bouillon
  • 2 bouillon cubes
  • 2 c. water
  • 1/2 tsp. dried chervil
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt

Instructions

  1. Put green beans, chicken bouillon, chervil, and salt into a saucepan.
  2. Cover and bring to a boil.
  3. Reduce heat and simmer for 15 to 20 minutes until crisp-tender. For frozen beans, cook for 6 to 8 minutes.
  4. Drain thoroughly.
  5. Stir in butter and lemon juice.
  6. Sprinkle sliced almonds on top before serving.
