A vibrant and flavorful sautéed snap bean dish featuring chili sauce, onion, garlic salt, and pepper, perfect for a quick vegetable side or light meal accompaniment.

Ingredients

  • 4 c. snap beans
  • 3 Tbsp. oil or bacon fat
  • 2 Tbsp. instant onion
  • 2 Tbsp. water
  • dash of garlic salt
  • cracked black pepper
  • 2 Tbsp. chili sauce
  • pickled or plain cooked beets or other vegetable of choice

Instructions

  1. Saute beans 1 minute in enough oil or bacon fat to cover the bottom of a wok or pan.
  2. Add instant onion and water to the pan and sauté again.
  3. Add dash of garlic salt, cracked black pepper, and chili sauce; toss lightly.
  4. Serve on a platter.
  5. Garnish with pickled or plain cooked beets or other vegetables of your choice to add color.
