Ingredients

  • 4 cups thinly sliced potatoes
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 2 tablespoons prepared mustard
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 (7 oz.) can solid tuna
  • 1 cup thinly sliced onion

Instructions

  1. Boil the sliced potatoes in salted water for 10 minutes until tender.
  2. Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
  3. Blend in the flour, prepared mustard, salt, and pepper.
  4. Gradually stir in the milk, blending until smooth.
  5. Bring the mixture to a boil, stirring constantly to thicken.
  6. Drain the potatoes and layer them in a buttered baking dish.
  7. Add sliced onion and drained tuna over the potatoes.
  8. Pour the hot sauce over the layered ingredients.
  9. Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for about 20 minutes until bubbly and golden.
