- Prepare your favorite homemade bread dough or use frozen bread dough, thawed.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Butter a 10-inch pie dish well.
- Press dough into the bottom and up the sides of the dish.
- In a skillet, cook ground beef until browned.
- Add diced onion and green pepper to the skillet; cook until softened.
- Season the mixture with salt, pepper, garlic powder, oregano, and Italian seasoning.
- Spread the cooked meat and vegetable mixture evenly over the dough in the pie dish.
- Layer sliced tomatoes on top of the meat mixture.
- Sprinkle shredded sharp cheese over the tomatoes.
- Drizzle ketchup over the cheese if desired.
- Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 30 minutes or until the crust is golden and cheese is bubbly.
