Tips & Substitutions

For a bit of heat, consider adding a pinch of red pepper flakes while sautéing the garlic. If you don’t have dry white wine, chicken broth can be a good substitute. Fresh seafood is ideal, but frozen shrimp and scallops can work too; just ensure they are fully thawed before cooking. Don't forget to reserve some pasta water to adjust the sauce consistency.

Serving Suggestions

Serve this Seafood Linguine with a side of Italian Romaine Salad for a refreshing crunch. A sprinkle of grated Parmesan cheese on top can enhance the flavors beautifully. Pair it with a crisp white wine, such as Pinot Grigio, for a complete dining experience. For a heartier meal, consider serving it alongside garlic bread.

Storage & Reheating

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. When reheating, do so gently on the stovetop over low heat, adding a splash of cream or pasta water to keep the sauce creamy and prevent it from separating. Avoid microwaving as it can overcook the seafood.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use other types of seafood in this recipe?

Yes, you can definitely customize this dish! Feel free to substitute the shrimp and scallops with other seafood like mussels, clams, or even crab. Just ensure the cooking time is adjusted based on the type of seafood used, so everything is perfectly cooked.

How can I make this recipe lighter?

To lighten this dish, you can use half-and-half or a lower-fat cream instead of whipping cream. Additionally, reduce the amount of olive oil used. You can also increase the proportion of vegetables, like adding spinach or cherry tomatoes, to boost the nutritional content without adding many calories.

What can I do if the sauce is too thick?

If your sauce turns out too thick, simply add a little reserved pasta water or additional cream while stirring over low heat until you reach the desired consistency. This will help keep the sauce smooth and flavorful without diluting the taste.
