Seaside Shrimp Casserole
A delightful seafood casserole featuring tender fish and succulent shrimp, complemented by creamy sauce and fresh herbs, perfect for family dinners or special occasions.
Ingredients
- 1 lb. fish (such as cod or sole) ⓘ
- 1 Tbsp. butter or margarine ⓘ
- 1 medium onion, thinly sliced ⓘ
- 2 cloves garlic or equivalent garlic powder ⓘ
- salt and pepper to taste ⓘ
- lemon juice to taste ⓘ
- 1 c. sour cream ⓘ
- 1 Tbsp. Dijon-style mustard ⓘ
- 1 1/2 c. cooked shrimp, shelled and deveined ⓘ
- dill or parsley, chopped ⓘ
Instructions
- Clean fish and wipe off excess water.
- Cut fish into serving pieces or cubes; set aside.
- Saute onion in butter until soft but not browned.
- Add garlic and fish to onions; heat to simmer.
- Cook for 10 to 20 minutes until fish is just tender and flakes easily. Do not overcook.
- Add salt and pepper to taste.
- Sprinkle with lemon juice and set aside.
- Mix sour cream and Dijon-style mustard in a bowl.
- Add cooked shrimp and chopped dill or parsley to the mixture.
- Combine the fish with the shrimp mixture and serve.
