Ingredients

  • 1 frying chicken, cut up
  • 1 small can sliced mushrooms, drained
  • 1/2 cup pickled onions
  • 7 tablespoons cooking sherry
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup oil
  • 6 tablespoons vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon minced onion
  • 1 teaspoon pepper

Instructions

  1. Cut the frying chicken into pieces and marinate in a mixture of sherry, soy sauce, vinegar, minced onion, pepper, and pickled onions for 7 to 10 hours or overnight.
  2. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  3. Thread chicken tenders or pieces onto skewers or prepare for direct grilling.
  4. Grill the chicken for 10 to 15 minutes, turning occasionally, until cooked through and lightly charred.
  5. While grilling, cook sliced mushrooms in margarine and oil until tender.
  6. Serve grilled chicken with the sautéed mushrooms on the side.
