Ingredients

  • 2 cans (4 oz.) shrimp, minced
  • 1/3 cup water chestnuts, minced
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 6 slices stale bread, crusts removed

Instructions

  1. Mix all ingredients together.
  2. Spread the mixture on the slices of stale bread with crusts removed.
  3. Cut each bread slice diagonally into two triangles.
  4. Put about 1 inch of oil in a frying pan and heat it.
  5. Place the bread with the filled side down and fry for about 15 seconds.
  6. Turn and fry the other side until golden brown.
  7. Drain on absorbent paper before serving.
