Ingredients

  • 2 sticks margarine or butter
  • 1/2 cup Crisco
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 5 eggs
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon coconut extract
  • 1 teaspoon butter extract
  • 1 teaspoon rum extract
  • 1 teaspoon lemon extract
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Cream butter, Crisco, and sugar until light and fluffy.
  2. Add beaten eggs until well combined.
  3. Combine flour and baking powder; add to creamed mixture alternately with milk.
  4. Stir in coconut, butter, rum, lemon, almond, and vanilla extracts.
  5. Pour the batter into a prepared 10-inch tube pan.
  6. Bake at 325°F for approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes or until cake tests done.
  7. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes before turning out. Add glaze if desired.
