Ingredients

  • 1 c. oleo
  • 1 1/2 c. light brown sugar
  • 2 c. chopped dates
  • 2 Tbsp. milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. chopped nuts
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 4 c. Rice Krispies
  • coconut

Instructions

  1. Melt the oleo in a skillet.
  2. Add the light brown sugar and chopped dates to the melted oleo.
  3. Cook over low heat until the mixture is well combined and heated through.
  4. Add the milk and slowly stir in the beaten eggs.
  5. Bring the mixture to a boil and cook for 3 minutes, then remove from heat.
  6. Allow the mixture to cool slightly.
  7. Add chopped nuts, vanilla, and Rice Krispies, stirring to mix well.
  8. Form the mixture into balls and roll each in coconut.
  9. Serve and enjoy.
