Skyline Chile
Ingredients
- 2 lb. ground beef ⓘ
- 4 c. water ⓘ
- 1 tsp. cinnamon ⓘ
- 2 large onions, chopped ⓘ
- 2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce ⓘ
- 1 Tbsp. chili powder ⓘ
- 1 tsp. ground black pepper ⓘ
- 1 Tbsp. salt ⓘ
- 1 1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper ⓘ
- 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste ⓘ
- 1/2 Tbsp. vinegar ⓘ
- 1/2 Tbsp. allspice ⓘ
- 3 bay leaves ⓘ
- 1 tsp. cumin ⓘ
Instructions
- Chop beef very fine as you add water into a large pot or kettle.
- Do not brown beef first.
- Add all other ingredients and simmer for 3 hours, stirring just occasionally.
- Cook 1 large package of spiral noodles.
- Drain and lay on bottom of a 9 x 13-inch pan.
- Pour chili mixture over noodles.
- Add grated Colby or Cheddar cheese.
- Cover and bake in oven until hot and cheese has melted.
