Tips & Substitutions

For a thicker dressing, increase the cornstarch slightly, but be careful not to overdo it as it can affect the texture. You can substitute apple cider vinegar for a different flavor profile. If you prefer a spicier kick, add a dash of hot sauce or cayenne pepper. This dressing can also be made vegan by using a plant-based Worcestershire sauce.

Serving Suggestions

This Slim-Trim Dressing is perfect for drizzling over salads or as a dip for fresh vegetables. It pairs beautifully with the Light And Luscious Microwave Summer Squash for a refreshing meal. Consider using it to marinate grilled chicken or tofu for added flavor. Serve alongside a light meal or as a zesty addition to sandwiches.

Storage & Reheating

Store the dressing in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week. Before using, give it a good shake to mix any separated ingredients. If the dressing thickens too much while stored, whisk in a little cold water to achieve your desired consistency.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I make this dressing ahead of time?

Yes, this dressing can be made several days in advance. Just store it in the refrigerator, and remember to shake well before using. The flavors will meld beautifully if left to sit for a day or two.

Is this dressing suitable for a low-calorie diet?

Absolutely! This dressing is designed to be low in calories while still providing great flavor. The use of non-caloric sweeteners and minimal oil makes it an excellent choice for those following a low-calorie or healthy eating plan.

Can I use fresh garlic instead of the halved clove?

Yes, you can use minced fresh garlic instead of the halved clove. Just be cautious with the amount, as fresh garlic can have a more potent flavor. Start with half a clove and adjust to taste.
