Snowball Dates are sweet, nutty confections with chewy dates and crispy rice, coated in coconut. Perfect for those craving a rich, no-bake treat suitable for all ages.

Ingredients

  • 1 stick melted butter
  • 1 egg, well beaten
  • 1 cup chopped nuts
  • 2 cups Rice Krispies
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 Tbsp white Karo syrup
  • 1 cup chopped dates
  • coconut

Instructions

  1. Mix melted butter, well-beaten egg, chopped nuts, sugar, Karo syrup, and chopped dates.
  2. Cook for 8 minutes, stirring constantly.
  3. Remove from heat.
  4. Add Rice Krispies to the mixture.
  5. Drop spoonfuls onto wax paper to cool.
  6. Shape the cooled mixture into little balls.
  7. Roll the balls in coconut.
  8. Store in a tight container.
