Sour Cream Drops are soft, nutty cookies with a rich flavor from sour cream and pecans, perfect for tea time or holiday gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 c. oleo
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. sour cream
  • 4 c. sifted flour
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1 1/2 c. pecans

Instructions

  1. Cream the oleo until smooth.
  2. Gradually add sugar and continue to cream well.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, beating after each addition.
  4. Mix in vanilla and sour cream, beating well.
  5. Sift together the flour, baking powder, soda, salt, and nutmeg.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the creamed mixture.
  7. Stir in the finely chopped pecans.
  8. Drop from teaspoons onto a greased cookie sheet.
  9. Bake for 15 minutes at 350°F.
