- Cook spaghetti with 1 teaspoon salt for 5 minutes and drain.
- Sauté chopped onion and green bell pepper until tender.
- Brown ground chuck in the skillet with the vegetables.
- Stir in canned tomatoes, garlic salt, oregano, and tomato paste; cook until well blended.
- In a separate bowl, soften cottage cheese, cream cheese, and sour cream; add grated onion and stir until blended.
- In a 2-quart casserole dish, layer one-third of the cooked spaghetti, half of the sauce mixture, all of the cheese mixture, then another layer of spaghetti and remaining sauce.
- Cover and bake at 350°F for 45 minutes until heated through and bubbly.
