Ingredients

  • 2 tsp oregano
  • 1 lb ground beef or 1/2 beef and 1/2 sausage
  • 2 cans tomatoes
  • 1 can tomato sauce
  • 1 can water
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 large bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 pkg fresh mushrooms, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic
  • Mozzarella or Cheddar cheese
  • salt, pepper, and garlic salt to taste
  • 1/2 lb Polish sausage or kielbasa (optional)

Instructions

  1. Lightly brown the ground beef or beef and sausage mixture and drain well.
  2. Mix oregano, cooked meat, canned tomatoes, tomato sauce, water, chopped onion, chopped bell pepper, chopped mushrooms, garlic, salt, pepper, and garlic salt to make the sauce.
  3. Cook the sauce slowly all day to develop flavors.
  4. Cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions and drain well.
