Ingredients

  • 1.5 to 2 lb. lean round steak
  • 1/2 cup chopped onions
  • 1/2 cup chopped green pepper
  • 1 can mushroom soup
  • 1 can tomato soup
  • 1 can water
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/2 lb. cooked and drained spaghetti

Instructions

  1. Lightly brown the cut-up round steak with the chopped onions, green peppers, and minced garlic in 2 tablespoons of shortening.
  2. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking and ensure even cooking.
  3. Add the mushroom soup, tomato soup, and water to the browned meat and vegetables.
  4. Combine the cooked and drained spaghetti with the sauce mixture.
  5. Transfer everything to a 3-quart casserole dish.
  6. Top with an additional 1/2 cup of cheese.
  7. Bake at 450°F for 30 minutes until bubbly and golden.
