Ingredients

  • 4 c. water
  • 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 4 (3-inch) cinnamon sticks
  • peel of 2 oranges
  • 1/2 tsp. whole allspice
  • 2 Tbsp. instant coffee

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine water, brown sugar, cinnamon sticks, orange peel, and allspice.
  2. Heat the mixture to boiling.
  3. Strain the spiced liquid to remove solids.
  4. Pour the strained liquid over instant coffee in a heatproof container.
  5. Stir until the coffee is dissolved, then serve.
