Ingredients

  • 1 package frozen spinach
  • 30 ml dry bread crumbs
  • 1 small green onion, minced
  • 1 egg
  • 10 ml margarine, melted
  • 30 ml Parmesan cheese
  • 1 small clove garlic, minced
  • 1 ml thyme
  • 1 ml pepper
  • 0.5 ml salt
  • 4 tomato slices
  • 1 ml garlic salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C.
  2. Cook spinach according to package directions; drain well.
  3. Place spinach, bread crumbs, green onion, egg, melted margarine, Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, thyme, pepper, and salt in a medium bowl and mix well.
  4. Arrange tomato slices in a shallow baking dish and sprinkle with garlic salt.
  5. Spoon one-quarter of the spinach mixture onto each tomato slice.
  6. Shape the spinach mixture into a dome on top of each tomato slice.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes or until set and heated through.
  8. Serve hot.
