Ingredients

  • peas
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 stalk celery, chopped
  • 1 medium carrot, grated
  • 3 Tbsp. basil, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Wash the peas and drain them.
  2. Place the peas in a crock-pot with 4 quarts of water and salt to taste.
  3. Add chopped onion, chopped celery, grated carrot, chopped basil, and minced garlic to the crock-pot.
  4. Cook on high for 2 to 4 hours until the peas are tender and flavors meld.
  5. Serve hot.
