Ingredients

  • large strip steak or beef medallions
  • 2 garlic cloves, chopped fine
  • 2 medium onions, chopped fine
  • 1 lb. can tomatoes or fresh juicy tomatoes
  • 2 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 1/2 cup beef stock
  • 1 tsp. oregano
  • 1 tsp. marjoram
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • dash of sweetener to taste

Instructions

  1. Salt and pepper the steak.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet.
  3. Sear the steak on high heat until browned.
  4. Remove the steak from the skillet and keep warm.
  5. Lower the heat and cook chopped onions and garlic until transparent.
  6. Add beef stock, chopped tomatoes, oregano, marjoram, and a dash of sweetener; heat through.
  7. Return the steak to the pan and cook in the sauce until tender.
  8. Slice the steak and serve with the sauce.
