Ingredients

  • 1 large or 2 small packages strawberry Jell-O
  • 2 small bananas
  • 1 pint frozen strawberries
  • 1 small can crushed pineapple
  • 1 carton whipping cream
  • 1 (4 oz) package cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup confectioners' sugar

Instructions

  1. Dissolve the strawberry Jell-O in 1 cup boiling water.
  2. Add 1 cup cold water to the dissolved Jell-O.
  3. Thaw the strawberries, and dice the bananas.
  4. Add the diced bananas, thawed strawberries, and crushed pineapple to half of the Jell-O mixture.
  5. Pour half of this mixture into a mold or glass dish and refrigerate until it gels.
  6. Leave the remaining mixture at room temperature.
  7. Whip the cream until soft peaks form.
  8. Beat the cream cheese and confectioners' sugar together until smooth.
  9. Fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture.
  10. When the first layer of Jell-O has gelled, spread the cream mixture over it.
  11. Chill the dessert until the cream layer is set.
  12. Carefully spoon the remaining fruit mixture over the set cream layer.
  13. Return to refrigerator to chill and set before serving.
