Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
  • 3 or 4 slices bacon, diced
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. enriched flour
  • 3/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. paprika
  • dash of pepper
  • 1 can (10 oz.) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup dairy sour cream

Instructions

  1. Brown ground beef and diced bacon in a skillet.
  2. Add diced onion to the meat mixture.
  3. Cook until the onion is tender but not browned.
  4. Drain off excess fat from the mixture.
  5. Blend enriched flour, salt, paprika, and pepper into the meat mixture.
  6. Stir in the can of cream of mushroom soup.
  7. Cook slowly over low heat, uncovered, for 20 minutes, stirring frequently.
  8. Stir in dairy sour cream and heat through before serving.
