Stuffed Mashed Potatoes

- Mix the first five ingredients (potatoes, egg, grated cheese, butter, nutmeg) by hand.
- Separately, mix together the remaining ingredients for the stuffing (broccoli or spinach, mozzarella cheese, diced ham).
- On a floured board, reshape the potato mixture into 6 to 7 potato shapes.
- Make a trench in each potato shape.
- Stuff the trench with the prepared stuffing mixture.
- Pinch to close the potato shapes.
- Roll each stuffed potato on the board to form a cylinder shape.
- Beat 2 eggs in a bowl.
- Prepare toasted bread crumbs in a shallow dish.
- Roll each potato in beaten egg, then in bread crumbs. Reform if necessary.
- Deep fry in a frypan until golden brown.
- Turn and brown well.
- Drain on paper towels before serving.
