Ingredients

  • 1 tall can salmon with liquid
  • 1 small chopped green pepper
  • 2 small chopped onions
  • margarine
  • 2 Tbsp ketchup
  • 1/3 cup seasoned bread crumbs
  • diced Velveeta cheese
  • Italian bread
  • cheese slices

Instructions

  1. Saute chopped green pepper and onions in margarine.
  2. Add the tall can of salmon with liquid (remove bones) and warm through.
  3. Mix in 2 tablespoons ketchup, seasoned bread crumbs, and diced Velveeta cheese.
  4. Split Italian bread and remove the center to create a hollow shell.
  5. Stuff the bread with the salmon mixture and cover the top with slices of cheese.
  6. Bake in a 350°F oven until heated through and cheese is melted, about 25 minutes.
  7. Serve hot.
