Ingredients

  • 2 lb. boneless chicken
  • 1 c. sour cream
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 1 small onion, minced
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 8 to 9 oz. bag stuffing mix
  • 1/2 c. hot water
  • 1/4 c. milk

Instructions

  1. Butter a 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
  2. Place the chicken pieces side by side in the prepared pan.
  3. In a bowl, combine the cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, and milk, and mix well.
  4. Pour the mixture evenly over the chicken.
  5. Prepare the stuffing mix according to package instructions, adding hot water as directed, then spoon it around or over the chicken.
  6. Dot the stuffing with margarine if desired.
  7. Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for about 45 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the stuffing is golden.
