Ingredients

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 teaspoons cornmeal
  • 1 stick oleo or butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • dash of nutmeg
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Instructions

  1. Mix the dry ingredients (sugar, cornmeal, nutmeg).
  2. Add milk and melted butter; mix well.
  3. With a mixer, beat in the eggs one at a time.
  4. Add vanilla and mix until blended.
  5. Pour the mixture into a deep-dish pie shell.
  6. Bake in a 350°F oven until set, about 45 minutes.
