Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 1/2 stick margarine
  • 1 cup water
  • 4 tablespoons cocoa
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk

Instructions

  1. Mix flour and sugar in a bowl.
  2. Bring oil, margarine, water, and cocoa to a boil, then pour into the flour and sugar mixture.
  3. Add eggs, soda, salt, and buttermilk; mix until smooth.
  4. Pour batter into a greased and floured cookie sheet.
  5. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20 minutes, watching to prevent burning.
