Tips & Substitutions

For a richer flavor, consider using fresh herbs like basil and oregano instead of dried. If you prefer a spicier sauce, add a pinch of red pepper flakes. You can substitute ground turkey or chicken for a leaner option, or even use plant-based meat alternatives for a vegetarian twist. If fresh mushrooms aren't available, canned or dried mushrooms can work in a pinch.

Serving Suggestions

Serve this hearty spaghetti sauce over your favorite pasta, such as spaghetti or fettuccine. It pairs beautifully with garlic bread and a side salad for a complete meal. For an Italian feast, consider serving it alongside dishes like Tammy's Stuffed Shells or Delicious Meat Lasagna. Top with freshly grated Parmesan cheese and chopped parsley before serving for an extra touch.

Storage & Reheating

Store any leftover spaghetti sauce in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. To reheat, simply warm it on the stovetop over low heat, stirring occasionally, or microwave in short intervals until heated through. For longer storage, consider freezing it in portioned containers for up to 3 months.
