Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup margarine
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 cup cornmeal
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder

Instructions

  3. Add flour, cornmeal, baking powder, and salt; beat just until smooth.
  4. Pour the batter into a greased 9 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan.
  5. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30 minutes or until done.
