Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup onions, chopped
  • 1/2 cup chopped green pepper
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 (8 oz.) package noodles, cooked
  • 2 cups (8 oz.) shredded cheese
  • 3 cups cubed cooked ham

Instructions

  1. In a medium skillet, sauté onions and green pepper in butter.
  2. Stir in cream of mushroom soup and sour cream.
  3. In a 3-quart buttered casserole, layer 1/3 of the cooked noodles, 1/3 of the shredded cheese, 1/3 of the cooked ham, and 1/3 of the sauce.
  4. Repeat the layers once more.
  5. The third layer will consist of noodles, ham, and cheese only.
  6. Sauté bread crumbs in 1/4 cup of butter and sprinkle over the casserole.
  7. Bake in a 350°F oven for 30 to 45 minutes.
