Ingredients

  • dried beans
  • dried peas
  • lentils
  • 1 qt. water
  • stew meat or hamburger
  • 1 qt. tomatoes, onion, celery, potatoes and carrots, diced
  • 1 Tbsp. chicken bouillon
  • 1 tsp. Italian seasoning
  • pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Soak dried beans, dried peas, and lentils in water overnight.
  2. Put dried beans into a kettle with water.
  3. Bring to a boil; simmer for 2 1/2 hours with stew meat.
  4. Add diced tomatoes, onion, celery, potatoes, carrots, and seasonings; simmer for 30 minutes longer.
