Taco Salad Bowl
A flavorful taco salad bowl combining seasoned ground beef, fresh lettuce, cheese, and toppings for a satisfying meal perfect for casual gatherings or weeknight dinners.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef chuck ⓘ
- 2 cloves garlic minced ⓘ
- 1 (4 oz) can mild green chilies finely chopped and drained ⓘ
- 1 (1 lb) can whole peeled tomatoes packed in juice undrained ⓘ
- 2 tsp chili powder ⓘ
- 1 tsp salt ⓘ
- 1/8 tsp pepper ⓘ
- 1 or 2 heads lettuce ⓘ
- 4 oz Cheddar cheese
- 1 medium-sized tomato ⓘ
- 1 package tortilla chips or corn chips ⓘ
- Black olives sliced ⓘ
Instructions
- In a medium skillet, brown the ground beef with minced garlic.
- Drain excess fat from the skillet.
- Add chopped green chilies and undrained whole tomatoes with the meat.
- Uncover and simmer for 30 minutes.
- Shred the cheese and lettuce.
- Chop tomatoes and scallions.
- In a large bowl, place the lettuce and arrange chips around the outer edge.
- Place the cooked meat on top of the lettuce.
- Sprinkle shredded cheese over the meat.
- Add chopped onions, tomatoes, and sliced black olives.
- Top with sour cream before serving.
