Tips & Substitutions

For a vegetarian option, substitute the ground beef with lentils or mushrooms. You can also use different beans like pinto or kidney beans. If you want to add more flavor, include diced bell peppers or corn in the mix. Adjust the cayenne pepper based on your heat preference. Serve with a side of guacamole for a delicious twist.

Serving Suggestions

These Taco Sandwiches are perfect for game day or casual gatherings. Pair them with a fresh salad, such as a classic Caesar, or some crispy tortilla chips with salsa. For an extra kick, offer a variety of salsas on the side. They also make a great accompaniment to Beef Chiliquillas for a hearty meal.

Storage & Reheating

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat, place the sandwiches on a baking sheet and warm in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 10 minutes, or until heated through. This will help maintain their crispiness.
