Tamale Beef Tangle

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1/2 c. cottage cheese
  • 1 (29 oz.) can hominy (yellow), drained and chopped or 1 can Niblets corn and 1 (15 oz.) can hominy
  • 1 large can tamales or 2 (15 oz.) cans, crumbled
  • 2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
  • 1 c. grated cheese
  • 1 pkg. corn chips, crumbled

Instructions

  1. Brown beef; add onions and cook until browned.
  2. Add all ingredients, except cheese and chips.
  3. Mix well and pour into baking dish.
  4. Cover with cheese and bake in 325° to 350° oven 35 minutes.
  5. Sprinkle chips over top and bake 10 minutes longer.
