Ingredients

  • 2 c. confectioners sugar
  • 1 c. butter
  • 3 c. flour
  • 3 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. milk
  • 6 eggs

Instructions

  1. Cream the butter and confectioners sugar together.
  2. Sift the baking powder and flour together.
  3. Add the salt and mix with the butter, sugar, and milk.
  4. Beat the mixture thoroughly.
  5. Beat the eggs until stiff and add to the mixture.
  6. Stir well and pour into buttered layer cake pans.
  7. Bake in a 375°F oven for 20 to 25 minutes.
  8. Spread the layers with icing.
