Ingredients

  • 3 sticks margarine
  • 1 cup water
  • 8 heaping tablespoons cocoa
  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 pint sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 6 Tbsp. milk
  • 1 lb. powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Instructions

  1. Boil together 3 sticks margarine, water, and 8 heaping tablespoons cocoa.
  2. Remove from heat.
  3. Add flour, sugar, salt, eggs, sour cream, and baking soda, beating after each addition.
  4. Pour batter into a greased 17 x 11 x 1-inch pan.
  5. Bake at 375°F for 20 to 25 minutes.
