Ingredients

  • 1 lb. pinto beans
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 large onion
  • 2 tbsp. oil
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. oregano
  • 1 (4 oz.) can taco sauce
  • 1 tbsp. catsup
  • 1 small can green chili peppers

Instructions

  1. Cook pinto beans in water with salt to taste until tender.
  2. Sauté chopped onion in 2 tablespoons of oil until translucent.
  3. Brown the ground beef in a separate pan and drain off excess grease.
  4. Add cooked beans, browned meat, taco sauce, catsup, green chili peppers, tomatoes, garlic powder, salt, and oregano to the skillet.
  5. Simmer the mixture for about 20-30 minutes to develop flavors.
