Ingredients

  • 2 cups ground fully-cooked ham
  • 1/3 cup finely chopped celery
  • 1/3 cup finely chopped chutney
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 2/3 cup water
  • 1 stick pie crust mix
  • 2 eggs

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine ground ham, finely chopped celery, chutney, mayonnaise, and pepper; mix well.
  2. Chill the ham mixture.
  3. In a small saucepan, heat water to boiling.
  4. Add crumbled pie crust mix; stir vigorously over low heat until pastry forms a ball and leaves sides of the pan.
  5. Cook for 1 minute more, stirring constantly.
  6. Remove from heat and cool.
  7. Add eggs and beat on low speed with an electric mixer for 2 minutes.
  8. Drop dough by teaspoonfuls onto an ungreased baking sheet.
  9. Bake at 425°F until golden brown and dry, about 20 to 25 minutes.
  10. Cool on a wire rack, then split the puffs.
  11. Just before serving, fill with the chilled ham mixture.
