Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 2 cups flour
  • 10 oz toffee bits
  • 1 bag semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Beat butter until creamy, then beat in brown sugar, vanilla, and egg yolk.
  2. Stir in flour and 1 cup of toffee bits.
  3. Press the mixture into an ungreased jelly roll pan.
  4. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 18-20 minutes or until light brown.
  5. Immediately pour chocolate chips over the hot bars and let sit for 5 minutes, then spread evenly.
  6. Sprinkle the remaining toffee bits on top and let set.
  7. Cut into 2-inch squares and enjoy.
