Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup butter
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F (163°C).
  2. In a small bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and salt; set aside.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine butter, sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla.
  4. Beat in eggs until creamy.
  5. Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients.
  6. Stir in chocolate chips and chopped walnuts.
  7. Lightly grease and flour a 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
  8. Spoon batter into the prepared pan.
  9. Spread evenly across the pan's surface.
  10. Bake for 40 minutes.
  11. Allow to cool, then score before serving.
