Ingredients

  • 5 to 6 peaches, peeled and sliced
  • 5 slices white bread, crusts removed
  • 1 stick butter, melted
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 egg
  • a little cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Butter an 8 x 8-inch pan.
  3. Slice peaches and layer them at the bottom of the pan.
  4. Cut the bread into 5 finger-sized slices and place on top of the peaches.
  5. Mix melted butter, flour, sugar, and egg until well combined.
  6. Pour the mixture evenly over the bread slices.
  7. Sprinkle a little cinnamon over the top.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 40 minutes until golden and bubbly.
