Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 medium carrots, chopped
  • 1 can tomato paste
  • 3 medium potatoes, sliced
  • 1 cup peas
  • 2 cups cabbage, cut up
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups water

Instructions

  1. Brown ground beef and chopped onion in a skillet.
  2. Add tomato paste and water; let simmer for 10 minutes.
  3. Place sliced potatoes, peas, and chopped cabbage in a greased 2-quart casserole dish.
  4. Pour the hamburger mixture over the vegetables.
  5. Mix everything together thoroughly.
  6. Cover and bake at 350°F for 1 hour and 15 minutes, checking carrots for doneness.
