  4. Use an 11 x 16-inch cookie sheet for baking.
  5. Butter the sheet and layer 8 sheets of filo at the bottom.
  6. Spread the cheese filling over the layered filo.
  7. Place 10 more buttered filo sheets on top of the filling.

  9. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20 minutes.
  10. Cut into squares and serve.

Tips & Substitutions

For a crispier texture, ensure each layer of filo dough is well-buttered. If you don’t have Feta, try using goat cheese for a different flavor profile. You can also add herbs like dill or parsley to the cheese mixture for added freshness. Consider making the filling a day ahead to let the flavors meld, just like in Mediterranean recipes.

Serving Suggestions

Triopeta is delicious served warm or at room temperature. It pairs beautifully with a simple green salad and a drizzle of Very Green Dressing for a light meal. For a more substantial spread, serve alongside Mediterranean Feta Dip and olives for a delightful appetizer platter.

Storage & Reheating

Leftover Triopeta can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat, place in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 10-15 minutes, or until warmed through and crispy again. Avoid microwaving, as it may make the filo soggy.
