Ingredients

  • 8 oz. medium noodles
  • 8 Tbsp. butter or margarine
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
  • 3 c. milk
  • 2 (10 1/2 oz.) cans chicken gravy
  • 2 (6 1/2 or 7 oz.) cans tuna, drained and broken into chunks
  • 1/4 c. chopped canned pimiento
  • 1/2 c. fine dry bread crumbs

Instructions

  1. Cook noodles according to package directions; drain.
  2. In a saucepan, melt 4 tablespoons butter.
  3. Blend in flour, salt, and pepper.
  4. Add 3 cups milk and cook until thickened and bubbly.
  5. Stir in gravy, tuna, pimiento, and cooked noodles.
  6. Spread in a 13 1/2 x 8 3/4 x 1 3/4-inch baking dish.
  7. Bake, covered, at 350°F for 25 minutes.
  8. Melt 2 tablespoons butter; toss with bread crumbs.
  9. Sprinkle bread crumbs over casserole.
  10. Bake until heated through, about 10 minutes.
