Ingredients

  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup oleo
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • pepper to taste
  • 1 cup flour
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 can tuna
  • 1/2 cup diced Swiss cheese
  • 1 tablespoon cream
  • 1 beaten egg

Instructions

  1. Combine milk, oleo, salt, and pepper in a saucepan.
  2. Bring to a boil.
  3. Remove from heat, then add flour all at once and mix well.
  4. Stir in eggs, one at a time, making sure to blend well after each addition.
  5. Drain tuna of excess oil and flake it.
  6. Stir in tuna, 1/4 cup Swiss cheese, and cream into the mixture.
  7. Spread batter into a greased 9-inch pie plate.
  8. Brush the top with the beaten egg and sprinkle with remaining cheese.
  9. Bake at 325°F for 40 to 50 minutes or until puffed and brown.
