A quick, flavorful tuna sandwich with melted cheese, fresh tomatoes, and crunchy pickles, perfect for a satisfying lunch or casual dinner for two.

Ingredients

  • 1 can tuna in water
  • 1 dill pickle or 10 sweet diced pickles
  • 1 slice Provolone cheese
  • 2 slices toasted bread
  • pepper
  • 1/2 diced onion
  • 2 Tbsp mayonnaise or Miracle Whip
  • 2 sliced tomatoes
  • oregano

Instructions

  1. Mix tuna, pickles, diced onion, mayonnaise, pepper, and oregano in a bowl.
  2. Toast the bread slices until golden brown.
  3. Spread or heap the tuna mixture onto each slice of toasted bread.
  4. Place a slice of tomato on top of the tuna on each bread slice.
  5. Preheat the broiler to 350°F and broil the slices until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  6. Serve hot with beverages and pretzels.
