Ingredients

  • 1 lb. lean ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 can refried beans with sausage
  • sour cream
  • tortilla chips
  • 1 can/jar mild taco sauce
  • 1 (4 oz.) can chopped green chilies
  • 4 oz. sharp Cheddar cheese, grated
  • 4 oz. Monterey Jack cheese, grated

Instructions

  1. Saute ground beef with chopped onion; drain excess fat.
  2. In a lightly greased 10-inch pie pan or 9-inch square dish, layer refried beans with sausage, meat mixture, taco sauce, chopped green chilies, grated Cheddar cheese, and grated Monterey Jack cheese.
  3. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 30 minutes.
  4. Top with sour cream before serving.
  5. Serve with tortilla chips.
